Sealed BIDS for construction of the Buckingham County Middle School Pump Station Improvements (the “Project”) will be received at the Buckingham County Office until 2:00 P.M. local prevailing time on September 3, 2026 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
In addition, sealed bids can be received electronically through eVA. Bids should be submitted as a PDF electronically through eVA’s procurement portal. This portal allows you access to view business opportunities and submit bids and proposals digitally and securely. Bids can be submitted electronically at: https://eva.virginia.gov/. Attachments must be smaller than 10MB in order to be received by eVA. If Working papers are submitted, they should be a separate PDF and labeled clearly.
The project will provide a pump station bypass system and replace existing wetwell components. As part of the project install the associated erosion and sediment control measures.
Site visits are allowed prior to the prebid meeting, Contractor to contact Daniel Queen to coordinate site visit to open locked gates.

A complete set of Bidding Documents (plans, specifications, and contract documents) may be
obtained from the office of Hurt & Proffitt, Inc., 2524 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501
(telephone 434-847-7796) upon non-refundable payment of $150.00 per set by check or money
order. A complete set of documents for the Project may be downloaded free of charge from
http://www.handp.com/. Include complete street mailing address with zip code, telephone and
fax number with area code, and contractor’s license number, if applicable. No partial sets will be
distributed. The contact person for the project with Hurt & Proffitt is Chad Hodges, PE.
An optional pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m., local prevailing time, on August 6,
2026, at the Buckingham County Office.
