Sealed BIDS for construction of the Buckingham County Sewer and Water Line Extension (the “Project”) will be received at the Buckingham County Office until 10:00 A.M. local prevailing time on April 24, 2025 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
In addition, sealed bids can be received electronically through eVA. Bids should be submitted as a PDF electronically through eVA’s procurement portal. This portal allows you access to view business opportunities and submit bids and proposals digitally and securely. Bids can be submitted electronically at: https://eva.virginia.gov/. Attachments must be smaller than 10MB in order to be received by eVA. If Working papers are submitted, they should be a separate PDF and labeled clearly.
The project will provide an extension of sanitary sewer and water main to support new businesses. As part of the project, 740 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer and 565 linear feet of 8-inch water line will be installed along with the associated erosion and sediment control measures.
No site visits are allowed prior to prebid meeting due to the proximity to the school, instructions for site visits will be given at the pre-bid meeting.

A complete set of Bidding Documents (plans, specifications, and contract documents) may be
obtained from the office of Hurt & Proffitt, Inc., 2524 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501
(telephone 434-847-7796) upon non-refundable payment of $150.00 per set by check or money
order. A complete set of documents for the Project may be downloaded free of charge from
http://www.handp.com/. Include complete street mailing address with zip code, telephone and
fax number with area code, and contractor’s license number, if applicable. No partial sets will be
distributed. The contact person for the project with Hurt & Proffitt is Mike Wilson, PE.
An optional pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m., local prevailing time, on April 1,
2025, at the Buckingham County Office.
