Invitation for Bids
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Nursing Home Pump Station Replacement will be received, at the office of the Floyd " Floyd County Public Service Authority until 3:00 P.M. local time on May 2, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
Project Description
The work to be performed hereunder shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, transportation, supplies, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the complete and satisfactory construction of the Nursing Home Pump Station Replacement. The work shall include, but is not limited to, supplying and installing wet well, pumps, controls, electrical, structural, piping, and related appurtenances as shown on the plans and as described in the technical specifications.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the Issuing Office upon nonrefundable payment of $200 for each 22 x 34 set, $100 for each 11 x 17 set, or downloaded free of charge at http://www.handp.com/bid-info, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

A PREBID CONFERENCE will be held at 10:00 A.M. local time on April 17, 2024 at the offices of Floyd " Floyd County Public Service Authority, 169 PSA Road, Floyd, VA 24091. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
Withdrawal of Bids
The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be in accordance with procedure (i) of Section 2.2 - 4330 of the Code of Virginia
Contract Licensing
BIDDER’S attention is invited to the requirements of Section 54.1 of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration which specifies the following with regard to contractor licensure and registration by definition:
“Class A contractors” perform or manage construction, removal, repair, or improvements when (i) the total value referred to in a single contract or project is $120,000 or more, or (ii) the total value of all such construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by such person within any 12-month period is $750,000 or more.
“Class B contractors” perform or manage construction, removal, repair, or improvements when (i) the total value referred to in a single contract or project is $10,000 or more, but less than $120,000, or (ii) the total value of all such construction, removal, repair or improvements undertaken by such person within any 12-month period is $150,000 or more, but less than $750,000.
