SANITARYSEWER IMPROVEMENTS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town of Wytheville Sanitary Sewer Improvements will be received by the Town of Wytheville at Town Hall located at 150 East Monroe Street, Wytheville, VA 24382, until 2:00 PM local time on April 25, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of the lining of 4,383’of existing 6” gravity mains, 4,031’ of existing 8” gravity mains, 2,243’ of existing 10” gravity mains, and 72’ of existing 15” gravity mains. The proposed project also includes the rehabilitation of 75 manholes, 73 frame and covers resealing, 24 point repairs, 21 cleanout repairs and related appurtenances as shown on the Plans and as described in the Contract Documents.
Prospective bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Order 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.
Prospective bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Orders 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms.
Prospective bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
Prospective bidders must comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Prospective bidders must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis.
The project will be funded through the Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund (VCWRLF) Program. Bidders are required to comply with American Iron and Steel provisions contained in Subpart J of the VCWRLF Inserts.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of Hurt & Proffitt, Inc. located at 1861 Pratt Drive Suite 1100, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060 upon payment of $200 for each 22 x 34 set or downloaded free of charge at https://www.handp.com/bid-info/.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on April 9, 2024 at Town Hall located at 150 E. Monroe Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
Withdrawal of Bids
The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be in accordance with procedure (i) of Section 2.2 - 4330 of the Code of Virginia.
